A discussion on what it means to be a Lviv resident in a multilayered city that constantly balances local identity with openness to other cultures. Participants will talk about the historical and contemporary dimensions of Lviv-ness, the city’s myths and realities, its role in shaping the Ukrainian cultural landscape, and Lviv as a city that has taken in many of the displaced, becoming both a shelter city and a hub after the start of the full-scale invasion.
