Historian Olesya Khromeychuk grew up in Lviv, and in her teenage years she moved with her parents to Great Britain, where she received her education and still lives. A few years ago, she headed the Ukrainian Institute in London, an independent charitable organization that aims to spread knowledge about Ukraine in Britain. In September 2022, the British publishing house "Monoray" published her autobiographical non-fiction book "The Death of a Soldier Told by His Sister" - the story of Volodymyr Pavliv, Olesya's brother, a soldier who died in 2017 in eastern Ukraine, told by his sister. This year, the Ukrainian translation of Olesya Khromeychuk's book, made by the author herself, will be published by the Vikhola publishing house.
