Presentation of the publication: “NKVD–MGB–KGB Agents in the Orthodox Episcopate of Ukraine”

Based on recently declassified archives of the former KGB of the Ukrainian SSR, this presentation explores the establishment of dense agent networks by Soviet security services to monitor and control all aspects of legal church life. The publication reconstructs the personal composition of the agent network within the postwar Orthodox episcopate of Ukraine and sheds light on the specific tasks assigned to bishop-agents, as well as the methods used to supervise their activities.
